NEW ! The list of Poster awards:
Martin Florian Bessner (Ruprecht-Karls-Universitaet Heidelberg): "Wrong sign over right sign yield in flavour tagged D0->Kpi data at LHCb"
Cesare Calabria (INFN and Univ. of Bari): "Physics with Taus at CMS"

The conference will host an extensive poster session. We encourage in particular colleagues at the early stage of their careers to submit posters, which is an opportunity to present their work at a major conference.
The poster session will be opened officially during a prolonged session break on Tuesday 7th afternoon .
Please note that posters need to be registered at the Conference Website until May 15th 2011 and have to be printed by the participants before the conference. The default format for the posters is 841mm X 1189mm (DIN A0).

A special committee will select the three best Posters. Their authors will receive also an award of 300€ each, which will be delivered  during the Conference dinner. .

Proceedings instructions

The proceedings of the Physics at the LHC 2011 conference will be edited and published electronically in a color pdf book format with the ISBN in the SLAC econf website  and will also be printed (black/white print only) by an Italian editor after the conference. All speakers will be asked to contribute to the proceedings. Also the participants of the poster session will be given the opportunity to submit a short contribution to the proceedings.
If one wishes to receive a printed copy of the Proceedings one should request it in the Registration form and contribute partially to the printing costs with 25€. Registered members of the Committees will receive a free copy by default. By experience we expect that the book ( both electronic and printed ) shall be available not before summer 2012.

Please provide both source (latex and ps/eps figures, through a tar archive for example) and the final pdf.

The proceedings of the Conference will be published at the SLAC eConf system.

Paper submission deadline
October 15th, 2011

Page number for contributions

The maximum number of pages for contributions, should not exceed:

2 pages for a poster
4 pages for talks of 15'-20'
6 pages for talks of 25'-30'
8 pages for talks of 40'-45'

Procedure

Download the following two files:
  1) the article LaTeX-Template
  2) the LaTeX macropackage.

Contributing authors have to add their text and black/white readable figures to this article template and using this macro.  The use of personal macros, definitions, and style files has to be avoided, since those will inevitably conflict from each contribute and during our latex book compilation process.

Authors are invited to add items that should appear in the subject index of the final volume (the method for doing this is explained near the top of the article template).

Example of final contribution and book shape

You can find an example of published Slac e-conf proceedings with the same latex template here.

Send your proceedings contribution

The contribution is expected to be submitted by the author in the Conference CERN Indico site for the Conference , where you can just add a second attachment to your talk (i.e. please simply use the same entry of the talk in Indico).

If you find any problem please send it to the PLHC 2011 Conference address or contact the editors:
