The Conference "From Field Theory to Quantum Information and Quantum Devices" - QID 2011 will be held in Perugia (Italy), at the Congress Center Hotel Gio', on January 7-8, 2011.
Abstract
Methods and tools of Field Theory are nowadays central in the rapidly growing field of Quantum Information. The aim of the Conference is to bring together leading experts in these subjects and to present recent progresses, with particular emphasis on their use for designing and engineering Quantum Devices and for analyzing strongly correlated systems. The Conference will also encompass the discussion of recent theoretical studies concerning topological quantum computation and quantum entanglement, focusing on their relevance for the experimental realization of new Quantum Devices.
